Reinhold Gottwald is a hallmark of Hamburg’s art academy, graduating
there
in the 1980s.
He works between painting and installation,
intuitively morphing the artwork and space into one entity. In this
case,
he ‘builds’ a wall-painting, incorporating pieces from old
encounters. It is a
gestical exploration of life impressions, which through other objects
and
drawings is expanded into space around it.
